FAQ’s

What is osteopathy?

Osteopathy focuses on the interrelationship between the structure and function of the body.

Manual osteopaths aim to treat the root cause of pain, not the symptoms. Practitioners utilize

various hands-on techniques to identify and treat areas of pain in the musculoskeletal

framework, including joints, muscles, fascia, and the spine.

What is a Kinesiologist?

A kinesiologist is a healthcare professional who specializes in the study of human movement

and how it affects overall health and wellness. Kinesiologists apply principles from

biomechanics, anatomy, physiology, and psychology to assess, plan, and implement programs

designed to improve human movement, reduce the risk of injury, and enhance physical

performance. They work with individuals of all ages and abilities, from athletes to those with

chronic illnesses or disabilities.

When should I see progress?

Some patients may notice relief after the first session, while the majority require a few sessions

for the body to adjust to treatment. It is important to follow the advice given by your

practitioner, even outside of the clinic. If you’re not feeling benefit of treatment after 4-6

treatments we will discuss next steps, including referral elsewhere if necessary.

Does insurance cover Kinesiologists?

Many private and employer health insurance plans offer coverage for kinesiologist services,

especially for rehabilitation, injury prevention, or chronic disease management. Clients should

check with their insurance provider to understand the extent of coverage, required referrals,

and any limitations. Additionally, kinesiologist services can often be paid for using health

spending accounts and may be eligible for tax deductions, providing further financial benefits.
